Explanation of Warranty Options

While there are many different warranty options that you can purchase for your vehicle, the most common ones are the bumper-to-bumper warranty and the powertrain warranty. They both take care of some of the most expensive parts of the car but do not cover the repair or replacement of parts that are known to wear down gradually, such as batteries, tires, glass or fluids.

If you have a bumper-to-bumper warranty for your vehicle, then you have comprehensive protection, but do not assume that everything under the car's hood is covered by the warranty. The most costly and important car parts are included in this warranty. Also, the powertrain warranty is restricted to the components of the car that work to move the wheels. It usually stays in place longer than the bumper-to-bumper warranty.
